What the shop is like
Walk in and you'll notice the floor first
We Fold Laundromat sits at 6310 Hwy 162 Unit D in Hollywood, South Carolina — right in the middle of the Lowcountry towns it serves, from Ravenel and Meggett to Johns Island and out toward Edisto. The building is bright, the machines are clean, and someone is always on the floor to help, because this isn't a coin-op you get left alone in. It's an attended laundromat, meaning there's a real person here to help you load a machine, weigh a bag, or answer a question about a stain.
Locally owned and operated, the shop is run with the standards you'd want from a neighbor doing your laundry: a floor that gets cleaned throughout the day, machines that are kept in working order, and a straightforward answer any time something is outside what we handle. We'd rather tell you upfront than take a risk with a garment we're not set up to clean properly.
That care extends to how orders move through the shop. Wash & fold and dry cleaning orders are sorted, tagged and tracked so nothing gets mixed up with someone else's bag. Self-service customers get machines that are sized right for the job — from a single load of work clothes to a whole household's linens in one pass through the new 100 lb washer.

Locally owned, locally run
Locally owned, locally run
We Fold Laundromat is locally owned and operated right here in Hollywood — not a distant name on a franchise agreement. The standard was set from day one: the floor stays clean, customers get greeted, and your bedding, your work uniforms, or your rental linens get handled the way we'd want our own family's laundry handled.
Being locally owned means decisions about this shop — hours, service quality, how a tricky stain gets treated — get made right here, not by a call center somewhere else. And the floor is staffed with helpful, friendly employees, so if something isn't right you can say so in person and it gets fixed.
The standards we hold the shop to
None of this is complicated. It's just consistent.
Staffed, not self-serve alone
There's always someone on the floor — to help load a big washer, answer a pricing question, or keep an eye on things while you step out.
A clean floor, every day
Machines and surfaces get wiped down and the floor gets cleaned throughout the day. A laundromat should feel cleaner than the clothes you brought in.
Careful with your clothes
Garments are sorted, checked for stains and trim, and cleaned with the right process for the fabric — gentle, low-water finishing for delicate and skin-sensitive pieces.
Built for laundry day to take less of your day
Whether you're waiting on a load or dropping a bag and running errands, the shop is set up to make that easier.

Why the 100 lb washer matters
Big loads used to mean splitting a comforter set or a week of rental linens across three or four machines. Our new 100 lb washer changes that math — a king comforter and its shams, a stack of bath towels, or a full turnover set of rental sheets can run in a single cycle. That's less time standing around loading machines and fewer quarters or swipes spent getting the same job done.
It's also part of why we can take on commercial accounts — short-term rental hosts, venues, salons and clinics — without the floor grinding to a halt. Bulk loads move through efficiently, and self-service customers still have plenty of smaller machines available.

Part of the Lowcountry, not apart from it
Hollywood sits at the crossroads of a stretch of the Lowcountry that includes Ravenel, Meggett, Johns Island, Adams Run, Wadmalaw Island, West Ashley, Edisto Island and Edisto Beach. We built the shop, and the pickup routes that run out of it, around that reality — a lot of our neighbors are twenty or thirty minutes from the nearest full-service laundry, and a lot of hosts and small businesses in these towns need linens turned around on a schedule that a mail-in service can't match.
Being part of this community means being reachable. Call the shop, stop in, or schedule a pickup — you're talking to the people actually doing the work, not a national call center.
